Virtual summer Cyber Camps

Learn Cutting-Edge Cybersecurity Concepts

The Northern California Information Communication Technologies (ICT) Hub at the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE), in partnership with California Community Colleges across Northern California, is hosting NO-COST summer camps for middle school and high school students across Northern California.

For the second straight year, the Virtual Summer Camps provided cutting-edge cybersecurity experiences to 150 students. Check back soon for updates regarding the Summer 2022 camps!

2021 Summer Camps

MegaByte Introductory Camp

The Megabyte Camp Experience will introduce you to key cybersecurity topics:

  • Cyber Ethics

  • Digital Footprint

  • Basic Networking

  • Programming Concepts

  • Intro to Linux

Is This Camp Right For Me?

Yes! Particularly if ...

  • This is your first experience with cybersecurity and you would like an introduction to the field.

  • You have limited available time this summer, but still want to participate in a NorCalCyber Summer Camp.

  2. August 2-6

GigaByte Intermediate Camp

The Gigabyte Camp Experience will introduce you to key cybersecurity topics:

  • All Megabyte Topics

  • Wireshark

  • Programming in Python

  • Cryptography

  • Digital Forensics

Is This Camp Right For Me?

Yes! Particularly if ...

  • You would like to more about introductory and intermediate cybersecurity topics.

  • You have time to commit to a two-week camp experience.

Dates (Choose One):

  1. July 19-23 and July 26-30 (FULL)

  2. July 26-30 and August 2-6 (FULL)

Terabyte Advanced Camp

The Terabyte Camp Experience will introduce you to key cybersecurity topics:

  • All Megabyte and Gigabyte Topics

  • Web Security Basics

  • Web Application Exploitation

  • Reverse Engineering

  • Windows Security

Is This Camp Right For Me?

Yes! Particularly if ...

  • You want to explore advanced topics in cybersecurity.

  • You would like the full NorCalCyber Summer Camp experience.

  • You have time to commit to a three-week camp experience.

  1. July 19-23, July 26-30, and August 2-6 (FULL)

Technology Requirements and Camp Tools

Technology Requirements

In order to participate in the NorCalCyber Virtual Summer Camp experience, you will need to meet three requirements:

  1. Access to a Computer with Windows 7/10, MacOS X, or Chrome OS

  2. Access to a Reliable High-Speed Internet Connection

  3. Access to an Internet Connection that can access the five Camp Tools.
