Sean McNally, Elk Grove Unified School District, Cybersecurity Competition Coordinator

With ten years of experience coaching and coordinating cybersecurity student competitions in Northern California, Sean serves as the Cybersecurity Competition Coordinator for the Sacramento County Office of Education.

Sean has a proven track record of amplifying the importance of cybersecurity education at the middle school and high school levels. He serves as a SynED Cyber-Guild Advisor, providing technical assistance to educators and administrators interested in learning more about cybersecurity education.

Sean’s relentless efforts have been recognized by the Air Force Association as their California State Teacher of the Year for 2014 and 2015. He was also recognized as the AFA 2015 Medal of Merit recipient for teaching in a STEM discipline. Under Sean's leadership, the Elk Grove Unified School District CyberPatriot Center of Excellence (COE) was recognized as the 2018 COE of the Year.
