About The NorCalcyber Mayors Cup
Greater Sacramento Region
Far North of California
The NorCalCyber Mayors Cup brings awareness to cybersecurity careers and provides students with an opportunity to engage in team-based learning. The Sacramento County Office of Education invites students, educators, businesses, and government leaders from across Northern California to participate in the 2023 NorCalCyber Mayors Cup experience.
In 2018, the California State Assembly issued a challenge: Fill the 40,000 open cybersecurity jobs throughout the state. The solution to this problem is a pathway that leads students from K-12 to college and into the workforce, all while explaining a concept that can be complex and difficult to understand — and having a little fun along the way.
The NorCalCyber Mayors Cup aims to do all of those things by utilizing cyber competitions to spread awareness about the cybersecurity field and the opportunities that exist within it. Students, parents, teachers, government officials, business leaders, and other stakeholders come together to participate and build California’s future cyber workforce.
The start of our LIVE@5 begins on March 29, 2023, leading up to the competition and awards on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
