Week 5 - Linux & Bradley Wolfenden

 Linux is "the other operating system." It is impreative to understand and build on strengths it offers. Franz Payer of Cyber Skyline will guide you through basic commands necessary to garnish those extra points in the upcoming NorCalCyber Mayors Cup. He will be joined by Bradley Wolfenden, Director of Cyber Sport at Katzcy | PlayCyber as he shares information about his career and becoming active the US Cyber Games and Cyber Olympics.

Franz Payor

Founder & CEO of Cyber Skyline

Franz Payer is the CEO of Cyber Skyline, the cloud-based platform and content provider that powers the National Cyber League. Founded in 2014, Cyber Skyline has helped more than 100,000 students and professionals in the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia through cybersecurity competitions, candidate skills assessments, and professional development opportunities. Prior to Cyber Skyline, Franz was a Computer Network Operations Software Developer at Tactical Network Solutions, supporting the work of the US Intelligence Community.


Bradley Wolfenden

Director, Cyber Sports at Katzcy

As the Director of Cyber Sports at Katzcy | PlayCyber, Mr. Wolfenden contributes his expertise in cybersecurity education, workforce development, cyber ranges, individual and team training, and competitions to ensure its success. Bradley brings over nine years of experience in designing, delivering, and managing learning, training, and educational experiences for individuals at all levels of proficiency, with a focus on cybersecurity since 2017. Bradley is an advisory board member of US Cyber Games, chair of Tortora Brayda Institute’s AI and Cybersecurity Talent Gap Task Force, is the former co-chair of the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Skills Competitions Community of Interest, served on the advisory board and as the competition platform lead for the Wicked6 Cyber Games, sits on Microsoft’s Education Partner Advisory Council, and has held leadership roles in support of numerous other global cybersecurity programs.
